Arts Education 2011 Resource Site

Welcome!!

Picture

This is a collaborative website dedicated to young, budding pre-service and service teachers. The impetus for this project was the ECMP 355 class offered at the University of Regina. Its ultimate purpose is to have a place where simple, adaptable, and effective teaching resources can be found, without the need of endless surfing of the internet to find a "pay" site for lesson plan ideas. NOTE: This site is not intended to offer entire lesson plans. Instead it is a place in which a person looking for an idea can view and begin to brainstorm. Much like the simple examples found in the Saskatchewan Curriculum.

Teaching Philosophy:
Education is a privilege that every student deserves. The arts  enhance that education to a place in which the student can develop into a concerned, aware, and just citizen who looks out for those around them, as well as themselves. The arts creates a three-dimensional view and interpretation of the world that is inclusive rather than exclusive.
